Bachelor Project

Frederikshavn Tower
Project Overview
Located in Frederikshavn, this project consists of a 12 floor tower with a total height of 44 metres. A restaurant located at the very top with 10 levels underneath of residential and business units. A lobby at the ground level and a storage unit at the basement level. The tower was designed to be pre-accepted in terms of fire with the most suitable sustainable solutions consisting of; highest energy efficient windows and walls, large windows with optimised overhangs for ideal daylight and overheating which were measured with HoneyBee inside Grasshopper via "Rhino Inside Revit" plugin. All materials have verified EPDs to achieve low emissions while green roof, solar cells and rainwater cells were also implemented to achieve a more sustainable project.

Bachelor Thesis

Parametric Architecture
Project Overview
For my bachelor thesis, I wanted to expand my knowledge about parametric architecture and the possibilities of implementing such techniques in Revit.
I was aware that Dynamo is inferior to Grasshopper but as a constructing architect we focus primarily on Revit and the use of Grasshopper with Revit is very challenging, however, I wanted to grasp the challenge and solve a complex task. The task I chose was adaptive panels in relation to solar radiation. I was inspired by the project Al-Bahar Towers in Abu Dhabi and I wanted to achieve a similar goal but with yearly radiation rather than hourly. The reason for this choice was to achieve cheaper adaptive panels without mechanism and much lower maintenance.
